Monday, July 30, 2018 Today was our second day in Costa Rica.  After our classes at ACCE (Academia Centroamericana de Español), we met the local school kids, who at first seemed a little intimidating.  They were much bigger than us and they were very good at soccer. Because the ticos were so good at soccer, we were divided into mixed teams of both Costa Ricans and Californians. This way the teams were equal. Everyone was especially excited for the Tarzan Swing. We jumped off of a platform many feet high, and we soared back and forth in the lush rainforest canopy. But the best experience was probably the last zipline.  It was super long - at almost a mile!  The entire rainforest stretched out below us, and the view was stunning.  This was also the most special zipline - we went "Superman" style.  We zoomed over the canopy, belly f...

¡Hola Costa Rica!

We made it safe and sound and were joyously greeted at the airport by our amazing tour guide, Minor Alfaro.  After a quick bite of pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken) or arroz a la jardinera (a vegetarian rice) at Nelson's, we are settling in for another day of adventure! ¡Pura vida!
