Sunday, July 29th Ziplining

La Tirolesa: El Parque de Aventura San Luis

Today was our first full day in Costa Rica.  We had lots of fun ziplining at San Luis Adventure Park, in the rainforest. There were many plants and trees.  Throughout the tour, we saw many beautiful butterflies, brown and black insects, and birds of many colors - green, red, orange, and even purple. The first two ziplines were shorter than the others, and we used them as practice. At first everyone was little doubtful of ziplining. But soon, it became really fun and exciting. Everyone was especially excited for the Tarzan Swing. We jumped off of a platform many feet high, and we soared back and forth in the lush rainforest canopy. But the best experience was probably the last zipline.  It was super long - at almost a mile!  The entire rainforest stretched out below us, and the view was stunning.  This was also the most special zipline - we went "Superman" style.  We zoomed over the canopy, belly faced down like a bird. Under us, birds chirped and butterflies fluttered. We ate a tasty traditional lunch and went to the gift shop. Satisfied, but tired, we back to the comfort of our casitas.
